Celebrate Singapore’s 57th Birthday At The National Museum With Free Children’s Activities!

Celebrate Singapore’s 57th birthday at the National Museum of Singapore on the 9th August 2022 with free admission to all galleries and free craft activities for the kids!

There is a drop-in craft activity by Sengkang Green Primary School in the Glass Atrium on Level 2, from 10am – 11am for the special needs community and 11am – 4.30pm for the general public, where you can colour postcards designed by students and contribute your wishes for Singapore or learn to create a paper toy from scratch! This activity is on a first-come-first-serve basis and while stock lasts. It is recommended for participants aged 5 years old and above and all children must be accompanied by an adult.

There is also a drop-in Zen Art with Singapore Icons activity from 2pm to 4pm in The Salon on Level 1, where children can express their creativity with zen patterns. Choose between the iconic lion head symbol or national flower, Vanda Miss Joaquim and create your own unique piece of the Singapore icon. Limited spaces are available and each slot will accommodate up to 30 people on a first-come first-served basis. This programme is recommended for participants aged 8 years old and above.

For adults and children, there is a SG Icons Coaster Making drop-in craft activity from 10am – 11am for the special needs community and 11am – 4.30pm for the general public, in the Glass Atrium on Level 2. Unleash your creativity with coloured beads to create coasters featuring Singapore’s national symbols, that will brighten up your coffee tables!
